The
Fall is a great time to be in New England and to be in Western
Massachusetts. Here along Route 2 (Mohawk Trail) you will see the
splendid colors of the turning leaves throughout Franklin County and
into Berkshire County. The Mohawk Trail, which runs 63 miles along Rt. 2
from Orange to North Adams, is the state's most popular foliage routes
and viewer come from all over New England to view the foliage here.
You can stop at Greenfield's Poets Seat Tower with its spectacular views
of the mountains and foliage. While your here stop and purchase some
locally produce Maple syrup and local vegetables. There are plenty of
fine restaurants on your way.
You'll
also want to take a drive up the Notch Road in North Adams to the
summit of Mt.Greylock,
the state's tallest mountain at 3,491 ft. with panoramic views of the
Berkshire Hills.
Catch
a football game at Williams College in Williamstown or Springfield
College in Springfield or any of the local games.

Visit
the many museums
throughout Western Massachusetts as well as the many historic sites
including the William Cullen Bryant Homestead in Cummington , Mass
MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts)
You
can pick your own blueberries, strawberries, apples, pumpkins and more
at many different locations throughout Western Massachusetts.
